Each package contains 3 individual steams. You can steam weekly but do not steam the week of your cycle.

Cleansing herbs support the body’s natural ability to release the old lining so that something new can be build up in its place. These herbs are amazing for long cycles with heavy periods and lots of clotting. Limit cleansing herbs if your cycle is already very short (less than 28 days).

Directions: In a medium covered pot, pour 8 cups of water (preferably purified water). Place one serving into the water. Do not add or use “essential oils” as they are too strong and may burn sensitive genital tissue. Bring water to a soft boil for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat, leave the lid on and steep for another 5 minutes with the lid on. It is very important to test the temperature of the steam before using. If it is too hot wait 15 seconds and test it again until it feels comfortably warm to steam with. Pour 4 cups (half) of water into the bowl you have placed in your toilet. (a sitz bath is a great option for this) Wave your hand 8-10 inches over the herbal water to make sure it is not too hot. Remove your underwear and sit on the seat above the steaming water. Drape a large blanket or sheet around your waist down to the floor making sure no steam escapes. Make sure you keep yourself warm, keeping something on your feet (socks, slippers) and neck. You do not want any cold to get into your body while you are trying to warm it. You should feel a warm, rolling heat for up to 15-20 minutes.

The first step is locating the correct muscle group. Try this:

  • Sit on the toilet and urinate; halfway through peeing, stop yourself from going all the way. You should feel your pelvic floor start to tighten up as you do this—those are your pelvic floor muscles!

Now that you know how to find them, let’s work on exercising them:

  • Find a comfortable position where you can fully engage your core; try lying down or sitting with great posture in order to have full access to your abdominal muscles for support and control of your exercises.

  • Tighten the same area of muscle that contracted when stopping peeing in step one above; hold for five seconds, then release. This is one rep! Repeat ten times and rest before doing another set of ten reps. Don’t forget to breathe while doing this exercise—it might be tempting to hold your breath but it will actually reduce blood flow and make it much harder for those pelvic floor muscles to get stronger!
